So, I decided to be nice and share what I have learned, as very little is documented in that subject. It took me some time and work to understand it. The boats we buy from Hanse do not come with the cableing requested to download the date from transducers, gps etc to the computer. If you are in to computer sciences, you can find a lot of link on the web about it. The Date from Our NSEs are transfered with a data protocol called NMEA. It has AIS, chart plotters, Weather grids. So, I have been searching for a Marine Sofware that would be taking date from my Simrad NSE system and download it to my mac, and process it.įirst it took me some time. This is not the commercial on Apple, but I wanted to give your the scene. Of course, I do use PCs at work, but at home the best computers for graphics and design, music productions are the Apple products. I have been a convert to Apple's Mac for about 6 years now.
